Chiropractor
Stephen Legate D.C.
Dr.
Stephen Legate graduated with honors from
the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. As a former principle ballet
dancer for 21 years, he was constantly getting injured and it was
Chiropractic care that returned him to the stage the quickest. It
was through this experience that Dr. Legate became inspired to pursue Chiropractic
as a career to help other athletes and lay persons.
Dr. Legates’ philosophy is simple “I
seek to provide exactly the kind of care that I would like to receive
and that has worked for me in the past. This approach, which is
based on my personal experience of many injuries, seems to resonate
with other athletes and I find great satisfaction in helping individuals
reach their personal goals. Adjusting, soft-tissue work, stretching, exercises, kinesio taping, nutritional
supplements, whatever it takes to help you reach your full potential
is what I do.”
Still actively involved in the dance world
as a faculty member of the Boston Ballet, Dr. Legate currently
works with many of the dancers on a regular basis treating them
with Chiropractic care. As an avid bicycle and motorcycle racing
enthusiast Dr. Legate has won a number of Mountain Bike events as
well as off-road races where he won his class in the 2009 Baja 500
and finished sixth in the 2010 Baja 1000. He currently works with
pro motocross racers traveling to their events to administer Chiropractic
care.
Dr. Stephen Legate currently lives in Marblehead with his wife of 14 years and
their two wonderful children.
